Fresh salsa is delicious, easy to make, and can be enjoyed in many different ways. It is a perfect accompaniment to Mexican cuisine or can be used to add a burst of flavor to any dish.

  • 1 lb 1 fresh tomatillos, husks removed and rinsed

  • 1/3 cup 1/3 white onion, roughly chopped

  • 3 3 jalapeƱos, roughly chopped (remove seeds for less heat)

  • 2 2 garlic cloves, peeled and roughly chopped

  • 1/3 cup 1/3 fresh cilantro (picked off the stems & roughly chopped)

  • 1 1 lime, juiced

  • 2 2 ripe avocados, peeled and cut into 1/4 inch pieces

  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 salt


  • Cut tomatillos in quarters. Combine all ingredients (except avocados and salt) in a food processor and pulse until desired consistency. Stir in avocado and salt. Cover and refrigerate at least an hour before serving to allow flavors to develop and deepen.
